FlexibleToast , to politics in Voters said they didn't want a Biden-Trump rematch. Now they're facing longest general election ever.

Any attack on Biden’s age that doesn’t include an attack on Trumps age is ridiculous.

I agree. They're both too old. But the polls show the biggest reason voters don't want to vote for Biden is his age.

As far as the polls, It’s up to Biden’s campaign, court cases, and the ability of the mainstream to get people to the voting booths. Swapping out candidates now is suicide.

It's kind of suicide either way at this point. Relying on informed voters is not a winning strategy.

It's the people paying attention to the polls and seeing Biden losing in key states while undeclared Democrat wins. Bidens biggest weakness isn't if he is too moderate or liberal. It's that he is too old. There are voters now that weren't even alive during the Clinton presidency, yet Bill Clinton is younger than Biden... Biden can win primaries, but can he win the actual swing voters in the swing states that actually matter? Polling right now suggests no. There is still a lot of time, but time has only been Biden's enemy so far.

This is why the primary shouldn't have been rigged for him to be the nominee, and one reason he should have stepped aside. Biden currently polls worse than Trump, but do you know who polls higher than Trump? Undeclared Democrat. Biden filled his role and did his job well, but it's time for him to move on. It's a lot like how RBG should have retired and moved on when the timing was right instead of letting her legacy get completely undone.

The only thing similar about them is that the electorate doesn't want them. Oh, and they're both older than former president Bill Clinton, who has been out of office for 25 years now.

It's the correct take. It was clearly the strategic decision they made.

Uh... I don't agree with that commenter, but that was kind of the reason he was chosen by Obama. He was chosen to be a signal to the racists that Obama was "one of the good ones." Biden was famous for working with racists in the past. Do I think he would go so far as to bring back slavery? Hell no.

And you're just one person. Clearly, your boycott is ineffective against Nestlé. Nestlé seems to be doing fine.

Yes and no. They're obviously more universal, but historically, they only actually work against things people already don't like.

That's how boycotts have always worked. Boycotts have only been successful when people already didn't like the thing they were boycotting.

FlexibleToast , to politics in Chris Christie caught on a hot mic saying Nikki Haley was going to get 'smoked'

He's potentially best known for debating. He ended Marco Rubio's campaign back in 2016. And he is only running now because he wanted to try to do the same thing to Trump.

FlexibleToast , to News in X's fresh temporary ban of several prominent journalists raises alarm

Do you think it's a coincidence that the left-wing bloc (in the US, at least) has become so fractured since the Twitter takeover?

It's been fractured since long before that. The fracture started around the Occupy Wallstreet movement.

FlexibleToast , to Technology in She went beyond socialism to being a full communist and thinking that anyone rich is evil. Elon Musk reveals Twitter takeover driven by 'woke mind virus' that infected his trans daughter.

They don't make or contribute to any types of technology.

That part isn't completely true. When they created the bootstrap framework it changed how many people built websites. They can and have contributed to technology. However, your point is valid that news about Twitter is business news.

Wealth taxes are fantastic in theory, but in practice have never worked. They're too hard to implement. I agree with the spirit of what you're saying, but I just don't think a wealth tax is the answer.

FlexibleToast , to Science Fiction in Your thoughts on The Orville?

Lower Decks is fantastic, but it's almost its own thing while still being a love letter to earlier Treks. It is obviously aimed at a different demographic while still being one of the best modern Treks. That crossover episode was almost all fan service, but there is nothing wrong with that every once and a while. It was a very fun episode. The end where the SNW cast was animated had me laughing, it was very well done.

I would agree with you, until Star Trek Strange New Worlds. That show is fantastic.
