THANK YOU to everyone who participated; this was very enlightening.
I started this poll bc I mentioned we have the temp set at 61-65F in winter and 78-80F in summer, and someone called me "radical" for doing that.

But it seems I am not alone in setting it at 79F or higher in summer! ]

@CelloMomOnCars We used to keep the air conditioning set to 78 or 80 F and the heating set to 75 F because my wife is from Brazil. Then the pandemic hit and we no longer turn on either central heat or cooling to avoid spreading viruses. We just use a space heater, fan, or tolerate the temperature.

@jerry The Cybertruck is much faster in going from 0 to 60 miles per hour than your Expedition, so it does have one advantage for those with big egos.

[2/2] … error, and also for referring to services as "products" (thus blurring an important distinction). I have had no access to Google Search for many years, aside from a period of time when I could access it via a LibreX proxy. That is because it depends on nonfree JavaScript code, which I won't trust. I recommend people ditch Google Search and switch to other engines such as duckduckgo.com.

Happy mother’s day to my Camponotus pennsylvanicus queen! She is nearly four years old this summer and the proud mother of nearly 700 beautiful daughters. Here she is today and years ago where her colony had only 30 ants. She has done an amazing job raising a huge colony!

The same queen protects a small pile of brood.

The tax gap (the gap between taxes owed and taxes collected) was $688B in 2021 — nearly half the size of last year’s deficit.

For every $1 the IRS spends auditing rich tax cheats, it can collect $12.

If the GOP truly cared about the deficit, they would fund the IRS, not gut it.
