This week, I will dedicate the last few minutes of all of my classes to remind my students that those who are eligible should definitely go and vote this coming Sunday. 🗳️ My slides include graphics from here: https://together.europarl.europa.eu/download-centre (various EU languages available) and information about the option to #vote any time this week in various places in Cologne for those who are away/busy on Sunday ("Direktwahl"): https://www.stadt-koeln.de/politik-und-verwaltung/wahlen/europawahl/direktwahl-ihrem-stadtbezirk #UseYourVote #europa2024 #wahlen2024

Today at 4-5:30 pm CEST we look forward to talking about "Using Git for More Than Code", together with #ReproducibiliTea in the HumaniTeas co-organiser, Denis Arnold. This is certain to be a 'commit'-ment you won't regret!

Before any of you start to 'fork' out excuses about how little you know about #Git, let me 'pull' you in with this - no prior knowledge is required, so please don’t 'stash' your enthusiasm!

Join us TODAY 4:00–5:30 CEST for #ReproducibiliTea in the HumaniTeas at the University & City Library of Cologne or online for a session in which we ask "Are most published research findings false? Do we have replication crisis in the humanities?".

Our guest speaker today is Clara Stumm from the University of Bonn. Clara will share her personal insights into conducting a replication study in #linguistics and will launch us into a tea-infused discussion on #Replication and #OpenScience! 🫖

@whvholst That sucks! A relative had the same issue in the UK but luckily they could get them changed with a subsidy. I would have hoped that Germany would have had a similar programme as this is a very serious health issue.

Are any of you aware of places (in the UK or Germany) that offer week-long beginner craft courses (currently thinking about pottery but open to other suggestions) for beginners? Maybe even with accommodation and full-board?
