This is horrifying! Three 10-year-old girls in Tennessee married men aged 24, 25 and 31 in 2001. An 11-year-old who married a 27-year-old woman in the same state in 2006. Children as young as 12 were granted marriage licences in Alaska, Louisiana and South Carolina, while 11 other states allowed 13-year-olds to wed. I am a parent of a 20-year-old college student. Trust me when I say these young adults are VERY knowledgeable and informed about what is happening in Gaza and the history of the region. It’s so insulting for the media to portray these students as clueless.

Michigan Republican legislators are caught on tape discussing the “end game” of banning ALL gender affirming care. While they don’t have the majority needed to get this done now, the vibe toward Dems in Michigan due to Gaza is pretty bad. People just don’t know. The number of people I know who think it’s not serious, who think washing hands and being vaxxed is enough, who think the more you get it the better your immunity will be is just testament to the monumental fail of public health we’ve all witnessed. And I have to believe that it’s ignorance, because I cannot imagine any parent not caring about this if they truly knew and fully understood the amount of damage repeat infections can do.
