#Trump’s authoritarian dehumanization of migrants isn’t just being used as a campaign tactic. Trump is trying to lay the groundwork for the absolute depravity he plans to unleash on migrants if he wins re-election.

Dehumanizing rhetoric always preludes dehumanizing policy:

"They're not humans. They're animals ... I'll use the word 'animal,' because that's what they are" -- Trump

@GottaLaff All this is why trump isn't really the problem. A sizeable chunk of the people cheer him on. When he dies or becomes incapacitated, after a likely power struggle, somebody else will take over, and they may well be more able than he is. A change of heart is what is needed and hard to come by.
