I love how the weather is getting more extreme at a fast rate yet still people have doubts about climate change happening. Like, it's almost summer but over here it is nothing but rain. Local supermarkets are running out of some types of food (mainly veggies) due to abnormal amounts of rain.

Whether you believe in climate change or not is irrelevant. You WILL notice it fast.

Let them be as long as they don't hinder serious communist movements. Anarchists over here like to shit on our party and call us tankies but they never get further than organizing a soup kitchen or some niche art thing. We don't see them at serious protests or whatever.

This one time we had a fascist meeting in town and lots of orgs, including our party, did a counter protest, but we wanted to do it in a peaceful way as to not give the Nazis any more fuel, as just days before that their leader got beaten down (by one of our members actually). The anarchist solution to this all: 'bro we should beat them up!!!'. When one of the organisers, a highly respected woman in left wing circles whose family was imprisoned in a concentration camp, said that it wasn't a good idea, the anarchists laughed at her and called her a pussy and such. Proper weird behavior.

We just ignore them, basically. They pose no threat whatsoever with their fringe group. Let them scream into the void.

We had several petitions that were succesful in the past years. We had one for the energy crisis for which we managed to raise hundreds of thousands of petitions. It led to a price decrease of the energy bill.

We had a petition against a tax reform for which we raised over 300 thousand petitions. It led to the government abandoning the reform.

Petitions are not going to save the world but it is a useful tool for getting a lot of people to see what your party could do. Hundreds of thousands of people have filled in our petitions, have spoken to our members and have seen that we as a party want to help them.

If enough people do it then yes it will hurt companies or whatever you are boycotting.

On a personal level it can help you, as you know that whatever it is you are buying at least doesn't support whatever it is that you are boycotting. I boycotted Chinese products once due to the Uyghur genocide thing I then believed in, and it felt good knowing that I wasn't funding a thing which I thought to be wrong.

I mean hexbear is just one online place. It's not like the revolution depends on how hexbear is operating. Same for Lemmygrad. If I look at my own work for our party I think my real life efforts are endlessly more important than the shitposts I make on Lemmygrad. To me he comes off as a bit sour because he sees people having fun and he decides that's a problem to him lol. Sure, we could turn this place into a discussion board majority only but I have a feeling that we will be without users at the end of the year. Discussion is always welcome of course and we encourage it even. Everyone is free to ask whatever they want.

I used to have one of those bad boys in high school, with a flip out keyboard. I also used to have a BlackBerry which to this day is my GOAT phone tbh.

Interesting topic. I've always wanted to do some party work regarding this phenomenon but I haven't yet figured out what. I've always had trouble connecting to other men specifically, mainly because of toxic masculinity I guess, which I feel like must be a big part of the problem here.

I don't agree with what Hakim said but it's not like he's the grand Oracle of communist theory. He's a young guy who grew up in a war torn country in which more than a million of his fellow countrypeople have been massacred by the west. A country that is geographically much closer to an ongoing genocide than the western country I am in right now.

Of course religion isn't the main thing driving the Palestinians forward right now. But it probably plays an important role in a Muslim Majority country.

What bugs me, though, is that many western communist nearly start foaming at the mouth the moment religion gets brought up, especially in combination with communism. Meanwhile we have actual religious majority countries being AES or resisting imperialism and it feels highly chauvinistic to discredit their struggle purely because they are religious. Once the first perfect atheist western revolution without violence and possible reactionary takes happens, we'll see. But my money is that our own revolutions, of they ever happen, will be far from 'perfect' as well.

For me personally, and I don't know if it is ML per se, it would be the focus on (physical) workers and a lack of focus on office workers. My own party does this as well.

I get where it comes from, but to act as if a lot of people working whatever kind of job in an office are somehow less beneficial to our cause is a bit weird. I always think we are missing out on a lot of potential members.

My main issue with the sub is that it can be a place to grow baseless anti psychiatry sentiment rather than an actual discussion sub about current day psychiatry. There should be people with knowledge on the topics giving a bit of feedback, otherwise it can quickly turn into a 'psychiatry bad' sub and there's no benefit in that. This is how debates on vaccines get hijacked and turn into antivax movements.

I try to chime in with my experience in the field. Feel free to do so as well.

As a forgeiner in the country where I currently live, I have some things I'd like to point out.

I'm white and from Western Europe. I moved to another Western European country. Sometimes, the natives here are talking about foreigners when they are with me. When I point out that I am also a foreigner, I can hear the gears in their heads grinding. When they talk about foreingers, they talk about non-white people. This country is to a certain extent welcoming to white people, but not to other foreigners. There is no progressive culture regarding non white people. It's all a facade. And it's not only directed to non-white foreigners. Even white people from Eastern Europe get shit on. And even to me they are sending mixed signals. When it's convenient for them, I'm one of their own, when it's not convenient for them, I'm an outsider.

I have, however, never had these problems with non-white foreigners or in non-white countries for some reason. Fuck this map.

Not that I doubt you being Chinese and not being a federal agent, but throwing a random Chinese sentence at us and saying you therefore can't be a Fed is a bit weird lmao. Especially given the length the US intelligence agencies go to counter China.

That being said, we know China isn't perfect. There's a lot to improve. And that needs to happen by Chinese themselves. Critical support is always welcome.
