Republicans killed funding for the cancer cure initiative

Think about that

In 2016, Obama’s Cures funding was set at $1.8 billion for seven years. Then Republicans said no to funding it again just so Biden couldn’t have a win

Reps like Tom Cole are literally voting in favor of people dying from cancer. His rationale for the vote? “We've been very generous”

I imagine the kind of person it takes to vote in favor of cancer

These people must be voted out

@flexghost I keep wanting journalists to start asking them to name the quote from Jesus stating we should abandon the sick (or let people starve or commit murder or ...) and then explain the "pro-life" part of voting for people to die of cancer.

How we beat back the corporate takeover of America:

  1. Break up corporate monopolies

  2. Continue building union power

  3. End Citizens United and get big money out of politics

@Npars01 @rbreich They do, but I think our best bet is to organize and figure out how to orchestrate widespread boycotts -- it takes smaller numbers than most people realize to impact companies, so getting as many as possible to boycott what they can (i.e. if the only grocery in your town is Walmart you don't have to boycott...) could hit some of these companies pretty hard.
