Been playing Monster Hunter World again these past couple of days after getting caught up in the hype for Wilds.
But this time on PS4, so starting from scratch.
I had forgotten how impressive it is, even before getting to Iceborne.

This might just be me, but I always found it incredibly funny when you are looking for tracks, that once you find one, your hunter sniffs it.

It’s like this whole adventure is just a cover to satisfy your monster feet smelling fetish. 😂

After one year, I finally made it back to my favorite arcade in the world. I played terribly in Mushihimesama, but I still had fun. They had the 1.5 revision on free play!

#Fallout76 had a rough start, but it’s in a really good place now and is getting regular content updates. If you’ve ever thought about playing, or going back to the game, now is a great time.

Maybe this is a certified hot take, but I've found that games with bullet sponge enemies (like the ones in #Fallout and #Starfield) just bore me to tears now. If you make the game more difficult by increasing enemy hit points by a factor of 10, it makes the weaponry feel worthless.

I really like how #Helldivers2 handles gunplay with armor and weak points. Things just feel more natural I guess. I couldn't even play Starfield without a lethality mod.

Anyone else feel like this, or is it just me?

So last night I tried running Lord of the Rings Online via Proton, which worked great except trying to launch the LotRO Store in game crashed the whole works.

Okay, I’ll try running it with Wine. Followed a 4 year old guide with Lutris and Winetricks. Now the store works, but it’s stuck with dx9, and none of my troubleshooting steps have fixed that. Frustrating.

I need #Linux recommendations.

I currently have an HP Omen X16 with a 3070 GPU, and I'm wondering which distro would play well with it for gaming? I tried #NobaraLinux for awhile, but there was a persistent audio crackling issue and doing anything with GPU clocks was a serious challenge.

Are there any other gaming friendly distros that I should check out? Thanks in advance.
