Because what I needed right now was ANOTHER project...
The keyboard isn't broken, it just isn't attached to the case. It's missing the big filter cap inside so I'll need to get one of those before I start any restoration work.
I've wanted one of these Xircom Parallel Port Ethernet adapters for a while but they fetch high prices. So imagine my surprise when I found this one in a bin at the local surplus store today for 95¢.
My mother got her MSc. more than 50 years ago. She was a sort of a pioneer as she run climate models on computers. I remember we had #punchedcards (that were unfortunately lost in a flood many years ago). She has found a #punchedtape a few weeks ago. I remember back when I was a kid I wanted to build a system to read it. It may become an interesting project… #vintagecomputing
