A NY appeals judge on Wed denied Donald Trump's third last-ditch attempt this week to delay his April 15 #criminal#trial on charges stemming from hush money paid to a #porn star, paving the way for the first-ever trial of a former U.S. president.
Trump stands to gain billions… from the merger between TrumpMedia & Tech & the blank-check co [#SPAC] #DWAC, which took the parent company of #TruthSocial public.
But #TrumpMedia almost didn’t make it to the merger after #regulators opened a #securities investigation into it in 2021 & caused the co to burn through cash at an extraordinary rate as it waited…for its IPO.
The situation led TrumpMedia to take emergency #loans, incl’g from an entity called #ESFamilyTrust, which opened an acct w/ #PaxumBank, a small bank registered on the #Caribbean island of #Dominica best known for providing #financial services to the #porn industry.
Today the pornocalypse came for Gumroad, which has been a platform where a lot of erotica and fetish artists could sell their stuff. As of today, all "sexually explicit" material is unwelcome there. Browsing #hashtags is quickly becoming useless. Even important ones for #MastoAdmin like #Fediverse and #Mastodon are filled with toots of random #photos and #art. Some even promoting their #porn or #gamedev#gaming project. Even random #journal or #blog posts FILLED with random irrelevant hashtags. It's quite infuriating...if you know what I mean.🤦♂️😬
