Opening games of Origins were actually last night and today I had an easy day.

But first, as some already know, I try and post about conventions I go to. Generally I thread those, but I only tag the first one of the day as and to prevent polluting people's timelines, I'm only tagging today's as /

So if you're interested in more posts, you'll have to either follow or track through the thread.

Anyway, last night after getting to the hotel, we played with some friends we knew and did two games of Shifty Eyed Spies (7p). I like this game in very specific instances and large groups is one of them as you have to both wink at some people and nod at others. The best reactions are realizing that everyone's head is on a swivel and then just busting out laughing.

The first game is always rough but it only lasts ~20 min. Second game though, we got our act together in both interception and completing missions.

After that, we did two games of Fun Facts, the third game in the Just One series. I'd never played and was hoping to during this convention. I like it and will probably pickup a copy to play with good friends, but I think it suffers from the same issue if Just One where some cards are fantastic and some flop for certain groups.

Next post in the thread will my Wednesday games.

an unfortunately messy pile of grey and black cards, with a pink pentagon with two face up cards showing the score. also the rule book is face up on the table.
