From 2014 - 2018, the Royal Australian released a circulating commemorative commemorating 100 years of ANZAC. That stands for the Australian & New Zealand Army Corps. Initially the combined forces from those countries sent to fight under the UK in . This example from 2014, the most common year. @numismatics @histodons

I haven't posted much in awhile, so here's a random #coin on my desk. Iron 1 Mon coin from #Japan. Minted in the 1700-1800s. I think this might be the "Ku" or 久 reverse mark type (above hole on the reverse). If so, minted 1768 - 1772. TBH, it's hard to tell. Many of these which are about aren't in much better shape. When I looked at Yugoslavia as Y for the #AtoZChallenge, the first coin I liked was the 1955 50 dinara. I love how that series of coins work together.     Ok reflecting back on the #AtoZChallenge. I loved it! It was a good challenge both choosing countries / coins & getting it all written. My first thought was to make the posts shorter.... but they didn't end up any shorter, which I take as my own inability to compromise on information - & how fascinating everything is!     Collage - "Thoughts Of You 3"

    Tall rectangle with rough, bright green background that has concentric circles to add texture and spotlight effect with the faint shape of a large, six-petaled flower impression. Some of this green stuff is "torn" for a decollage feel: revealing scraps of various bright-colored 1940s floral fabric at corners and edges of background. At two opposite corners, 1960s dolls in bright colored dresses look toward the other corners. Each is balanced on a large 1960s nickel which is tails-up. At center: a larger heads-up copy of the same nickel. Text: Plant something different. Can't you afford to?"
