28 January 1936 | A Dutch Jewish girl, Femmy Rika Keijzer, was born in Zwolle.
In October 1942 she was deported to Auschwitz and, after selection, murdered in a gas chamber. Her parents - Semmie and Sophia - also perished in the camp.
@auschwitzmuseum RIP to them all.
But in Netherlands Johanna Dobschiner (* in Berlin) could survive (as the only of her family) by the help of the pastor Bas Ader (#SayTheirNames) in church asylum. After WW 2 she emigrated to Scotland, became a nurse, married (Hansie Douglas, her name) and wrote the book "Selected for living"/"Zum Leben erwählt". She rests in peace now by a natural death.
