Closeup of the head of a black swan, partly submerged as it roots around in the shallows for any morsels of food. The red eye closest to the camera has a translucent extra eyelid drawn halfway across it, just past the pupil. This would allow it to search with its head fully underwater without water getting into the eye socket itself.
