Crunchyroll sent me a DMCA Takedown Notice on TeePublic on MY OWN bull character design called :DelgadoHa: Delgado that I made for MY OWN worldbuilding project :MW: MOULE WORLD, with NO relation to any of their IPs.
This is the second time it happened. The first time was on April 17 on my same design, which I reuploaded believing it was a mistake. I submitted a counterclaim, but got a response saying TeePublic needed to comply with IP law.
What’s interesting is that Crunchyroll didn’t issue a DMCA Takedown Notice on my other original, not-Crunchyroll-related :Delgado: Delgado designs. It was only the laughing one that they took down, which made me suspect it was an automated takedown, so I uploaded it to TeePublic again and it got took down again. (It’s still on my Redbubble.)
Again, I’m quite shocked that Crunchyroll thinks my own designs for my own worldbuilding project is somehow related to their intellectual properties.
@MOULE I'd be sending a strongly worded email implying a lawsuit. This is fraud. Happens on YouTube all day. These companies need to learn their place.
I'll be posting each of these cards in the comments as well as character descriptions, custom emojis, and moule.world handles. I think FediCards are an excellent and fun way to introduce yourself and your characters on the #Fediverse! :Fediverse:
