From November 1979 LIFE magazine, "Barbie Turns 21." A walk through the first 2 decades of a toy line nearing 70 years of age. Now, in 2024, a wonderful & fun Oscar nominated movie. Good luck! A lot has changed over the years, but much has not.

    New Fantastic Four promo steeped in MCM trappings suggest a '60s setting for the July '25 film.

    The LIFE mag in Ben Grimm's hands seems to be 12/13/63, but at a Valentine's Day party, so, at least 2 months old when he's reading it.

    A better cover choice for the FF might have been the 10/4/63 DNA cover.

    Found both in my recent work pile.

Bottom Right is a photo of the aforementioned President Johnson Life magazine, featuring LBJ standing between the U.S. and Presidential flags stood by his desk in the White House.

    Working on really cool old LIFE magazines. This photo hit home today, 62 years after it's publication. Our shop was already about 23 years old when this magazine was new.
