There is absolutely no reason for people to be reduced to waiting for token "aid" to fall from the sky. Aid as a concept is itself a failure-this world could be a place of sufficiency and mutuality, if not for the forces of greed and violence which render millions-in Palestine and
beyond-deprived.
Remember Yazan al Kafarna today.

RIP Yazan al Kafarna murdered through intentional manmade starvation of Gaza by the state of Israel I can't bear to share his picture because it is not how any human should be remembered. A living human child suffering. He was was ten years old at the time of his martyrdom. He had long, dark eyelashes. Yazan was someone's entire world, as nearly every child is. He was a world unto himself. In life he looked like any of the little boys I grew up around in India. I mourn everything he was. What was done to Yazan, what is in the process of being done to 2.3 million other people in occupied Palestine is a desecration, is the definition of evil. It is a desecration I feel touched by; I am not separate from it. I experience it as profound, radicalizing moral injury. I don't know what to do with it that I'm not doing already, really. But I wanted to write down, somewhere, what I feel.
