Sacks slipped my mind entirely. I recall eight, including some of the most informative books I have read. I also recall a talk he gave in New York City once, where he started a sentence with "If you have brains on a slab ...", then stopped, made a face, and a noise, and continued, "but - if you do, ..." and said something about the corpus callosum in (deceased) musicians. Which to some degree I'm still thinking about.

By the way de Haene is good (two books I'm aware of).

@sollat @courtcan Ah, we have some great shared 5+ authors that I hadn't thought about in a minute (eg Connie Willis, Garth Nix, Charlie Stross and William Gibson.)
