Started watching a wheelchair YouTuber & she's testing an accessory called the LapStacker. It's a strap to keep things from falling off your lap, retractable, etc. It's 120 damn dollars. The little electric motor I'm looking at? 4,250. I'm poor ffs ppl
Can you park it outside? I think that's what almost everyone does
For potential breakdowns, which I guess is what you're getting out with your Transit question, I recommend AAA motorcycle coverage! They will put your scooter on the back of a tow truck, and take it to your house or repair shop or whatever you want. They will also bring you home (or you can take the bus home, if you prefer)
To clarify, I'm an electric wheelchair user, and I am only recommending things that I have done myself!
@NilaJones the issue is I don't have the financial security to get AAA coverage or a scooter. I appreciate the information though and maybe someone else will find it that can utilize it more easily than I can

I haven't been able to get any traction anywhere, much less any assistance. I've got 5 bucks left on my transit card and have a Drs appt tomorrow. I won't be able to pay for anything because I can't even get sales on my photography. I'm so tired of the struggle and the hustle. My wrist is hurting from overusing my cane and I wish I could use my wheelchair, but the trolley isn't accessible and I can't roll a mile every day

They kicked my kid off Medicaid and onto CHIP and are now demanding $63.24 a month for her to have health insurance. I can barely scrounge up $150 a month for food for 3 people and a cat, like wtf. Like cost of living is going up, I cannot. I am going to fucking weep. What are people supposed to fucking do like this? This is the "low-cost" option? I haven't been able to get food money for this month. I paid a couple bills & been struggling since. I only have any food at all bcuz my sister gave me some, & I have a food bank, but we're a household with allergies & special food needs, so we can't eat everything we get. I don't know what to do here. I can't afford this. We could cut every extraneous expense & still not afford this. CoL is just that high. But let's send billions to Israel for genocide & war crimes!
@chrystynenovack I was not in the path of totality and cloud cover completely obscured the maximum for me unfortunately lol but it was still pretty awesome. All these photos were with my 40-150mm lens! I didn't have the opportunity to rent a longer lens, but I'm not too disappointed at least!

I'm halfway to my April goal and I've got my school application done. Waiting for my transcripts and fafsa to go through to the school and trying not to chicken out. I've not been successful in the past due to mental health issues and sabotage, but now I have more support, so fingers crossed for me. April Goal 150/300
