A map of heat days in Europe in 2050 (if RCP8.5).

The number of heat days (days with daily maximum temperature ≥ 30°C) shows a strong north-south gradient. The number of heat days increases in RCP2.6 and RCP8.5 until 2030. From 2030 onwards, the number of heat days continues to increase only for RCP8.5. The video clearly shows how the lines of the same number of heat days continuously proceed to the North... but halts at mountain ridges.
