My almost eighty year old friend is recovering from a botched eye surgery. It is a pretty devastating development for a person who lives alone. I listened to her worries on the phone yesterday and promised to drop a treat off to her today. She is headed to a specialist in San Francisco soon, and I hope they can help her. At least it is only one eye.
She loves cookies and ice cream, so I baked peanut butter with peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies this morning to deliver in a fancy paper plate carrier.
