Has anyone actually heard Conservative leader Pierre claim that after he's cancelled the carbon tax, Canadian consumers will see big box retailers, gas companies & grocery stores reduce their prices enough to result in significant savings?

Because that's what many of PP's rally attendees think is going to happen. 🤦 Some even think they'll be buying a house straightaway once he's elected.

Today, Mr. started off his rally with a massive lie when he shouted out, "On April 1st your food is going up 23%."

Then he held up a St, Patricks Day beer and yelled “Every time someone says ‘axe the tax’ I’m going to have to take a sip”

@gemelliz
I noticed that Pierre Poilievre is using the same rhetoric as TFG. I hope most Canadians have seen more than enough of that down south to see through PPS propaganda and lies.

"Canadian conservatives
Starting with Prime Minister Harper
Wanted carbon pricing.
Poilievre voted for it 11 times.
If PP is elected there'll still be a carbon tax,
Although they'll likely change the name.
There'll be no rebates.
Or drop in grocery prices.
Just cuts to every public service."
Pensions and
Children's monthly benefits first.
Note that never alludes
To the fundamental reason
For carbon taxes,
Cap & trade, or whatever, which is
To save our planet.

Canada's Conservatives aren't really against carbon pricing.
👉 They are against the rebates, which is why they never mention them. They want that money to go to back to the government coffers, not to the people.

It's clear the Conservatives are going to run hard with 's "axe the tax" BS to win the next federal election.
What will they to do if they win and consumer prices don't drop by 15-20%?
Nothing. Blame Trudeau.
