Most of the questions from the justices at argument centered on whether the #antiabortion challengers had a #legal right –or #standing – to file. Lawyers defending the drug said the plaintiffs were not directly #harmed.
Ziegler said many leaders in the #SBC & in the broader #antiabortion movement have long opposed #IVF, seeing it as a process that separates conception from the act of #heterosexual sex & is disrespectful of human life. Church leaders have downplayed that view in public, however, since IVF is popular in the #UnitedStates. 70% of Americans in April told Pew Research they think IVF is a “good thing,” including 63% of White #evangelicals, who line up ideologically in general w/ #SouthernBaptists.

Justice Samuel Alito’s secretly recorded remarks come as many #conservatives have openly embraced the view that American #democracy must be grounded in a Christian worldview.
But the core of the idea expressed to #Alito, that the country must fight the decline of #Christianity in public life, goes beyond the questions of #bias & #influence at the nation’s highest court. An array of #conservatives, including #antiabortion activists, church leaders & #conservative state legislators, has openly embraced the idea that American #democracy needs to be grounded in #Christian values & guarded against the rise of secular culture.
5.7 MILLION Italians citizens and resident live in #AbsolutePoverty, 1.3 are children. #Meloni government has done NOTHING for those children, whereas #antiabortion fanatics are now allowed to enter abortion clinics.
He’s also successfully nudging most #AntiAbortion#conservatives to accept his call to abandon a national standard — what was once a consensus position in the #GOP. That’s on top of #Trump’s long-standing opposition to new #Ukraine#aid, which remains stalled on the Hill.
So far, Trump is showing more proclivity for blocking GOP policy proposals than shaping them affirmatively, such as the bipartisan #border deal that he stopped earlier this year.
A majority of #SCOTUS justices appeared deeply skeptical on Tuesday over efforts to curtail access to a widely used #abortion pill, calling into question whether a group of #antiabortion doctors & organizations had a right to challenge the #FDA’s approval of the #medication.
