Hammarbya palludosa, June 30th, 2024 in Austria. The smallest orchid of Europe - by height Chamorchis alpina is equally small but has slightly bigger flowers, and by flower size Malaxis monophyllos and Neottia cordata also are very small but are usually slightly higher plants.

The strangest feature of Hammarbya are the bulbils developing on the edge of the leaf, they eventually fall off and grow into new plants!
