A shorter morning walk than usual with Arwen, but she even tried to cut it very short, so I guess she's a bit tired... I did push on a bit further as I wanted both her and me to get at least some fresh air (and steps) in.
Today will be another busy day and Arwen will have to watch the house for a few hours by herself. So before I go, we need a good walkers for her so she can then sleep while I'm out.
There is the apartment viewing of the new potential tenant at 11. So I wanna be there a little earlier and first get some stuff into Skoosh. The viewing takes about half an hour, according to the mail I had.
Then, I'll drive to the floor business and spill out my worries about the work not being done, and the lack of communication towards me about making it done. As we did pay for the work so they should deliver that work... And I wanna get to work in the house, meaning I wanna put the cupboards in their new places and start unpacking some boxes...
I probably have some time to kill before the PT, so I'll go towards the city center and browse the Action for some goodies for the house.
After PT, I'll head home again, and make food for both Arwen and myself.
Mum has asked me if I could take her to Germany for shopping on Wednesday. So of course I'll make that happen! After all she's been doing for me, that's the least I can do for her then... 😊
I already emailed my contact at the rental coop about the mess with the WTW unit... Maybe they can put some pressure on it, as I do want it working properly again.
I've been slowly trying to find some form of routine again. Been to the "new" gym twice now, trying to find the best time for me to work out there.
I feel a bit more relaxed now, but still stressed as well. I wanna get the apartment done ASAP, I wanna get the skirting boards and WTW unit fixed ASAP, and I wanna get working on making the house a home quickly too...
So while the biggest pressure of the move is over (can we get it all to the house, will we make it, will we deliver the truck back without issues to I can pay my friend the deposit back), there's still so much to be done. Some things aren't in a rush, but some things just need to happen...
I want my shower to be free from boxes so that we can set up the shower cabin and I can shower in my house... I also want the space in the bathroom so we can connect the washing machine properly, and I can wash stuff soon...
And so many things are "packed somewhere", that I'd like to unpack and find them back 😂...
And bit by bit, I hope my dad and I can hang some more lights, and then the coats rack and when more things are in a perminent place, I'd like to hang some stuff on my walls as well... 😊 So still loads to do...
Hopefully I have a date and time this afternoon for the skirting boards. I'll do my best to make space for the worker. But I will tell the folks in the store that not everything can be moved aside and some things, the worker will need to help me with. I carefully planned the move after they should have been done, so this is not on me....

Well, these skirting boards not being ready isn't really minor... It means a longer wait to be able to do certain things... And it means extra work, as during the move, loads got stacked to the sides (which is logical), which means it all needs to be moved more to the middle so that the boards can be reached...
Ah well... Can only do my best. Hopefully I'll know more this afternoon.......
