Mob kingpin Carl Elias bears a striking resemblance to Thermina leader Mathesar, don't you think? Perhaps because both were played by Canadian Enrico Colantoni.

I have only seen clips of POI becuase Mrs S. isn’t a fan. It is however on my list of shows to catch up on if I ever get out of my current concentration issues long enough to watch an episode of anything all the way thru !

All good here (commensurate with looming old age and creaking joints). Our building works are finally dragging to a close, so we actually fit into the house now! Downsizing is a necessary evil of old age: I never thought we'd move to bungalow-land but it's definitely the right thing for us right now.
Also, much less home automation kit needed in a smaller house, and sooo much cheaper to run! But #HomeAssistant can be a time-sink, can't it!?

And let's not mention 3D printing… I've spent a fortnight designing something to replace a broken clip on our shower riser. I suppose it might be possible to buy one online but where's the fun in that!

I replaced my old Wanhao i3 Plus with a Flashforge Adventurer 4 Pro (recon). It's the 3D printer equivalent of switching from Windows Vista to Linux Mint 21 Cinnamon (I.e. brilliant - not a downgrade, like Windows 11…)
I pretty much find the thing I need on a 3D printing site, send it to the printer and come back later to the finished article. The printer streams to Home Assistant from it's built-in camera, so I can check all is well from time to time. (1/2)

Actually designing things yourself can be a little more challenging, but I've just discovered a brilliant new piece of software that seems largely to work like I do, more like an artistic project than a technical one. I'll toot a bit more about that another time, as I'm still learning. But it's looking positive so far.
Here's the (almost) finished article. The snap-fit latches are doing more snapping than latching but I have a couple of ideas to fix that. The rest fits perfectly and does exactly what's needed. It was a pain to produce whilst learning the package, but it's great to have something you need and then to actually produce that thing. This might be the closest I get to feeling artistic!

I'm a few months behind on your journey, but closing in, so I'll say 'hope all is well' but try to avoid any spoilers whilst chatting!
From a brief catch-up, it looks the gang's all still here. I'll try to find a better balance between here and real life from now on. It's tricky: one of my, um, tics is the old completist thing - I hate thinking there's a message I haven't read or might have missed. But once you follow a few peeps, it grows exponentially, doesn't it?

I am totally the same on the completist thing & yes it gets stupid busy after a certain point!
The problem is that there is the whole ‘must read all stuff’ & the fac I do love chatting to the great peeps like you who interact with me 😊. It makes finding time in the analog world difficult!
