Are they expecting this to continue all the way to 2028?

How much people need to die for the powergames of a wannabe emperor?’

Decomaeker ,

yeah i agree, there is no way russia is gonna last that long, they should just surrender tbh

That sounds like a troll bait. No way that's your informed opinion.

It's definitely troll bait, but the underlying logic isn't faulty.

Putin could walk away from the war today and face nothing more than embarrassment. If Ukraine surrenders, they lose the eastern half of their country, if not their whole country.

Yeah. I am afraid of thinking how much they'd lose then, besides territory. Lives of people from so-called People's Republics was brutal, and that would be even worse.

It took Russia and the USA some time to realize they could not win in Afghanistan or Vietnam.

The natives of Afghanistan and Vietnamese eventually overcame the imperialist invaders.

The natives of Ukraine should do the same. The USSR and the DPRK nobly supported the Vietnamese when they were invaded. The west should do the same for Ukraine.

We should not blame the sufferings of war on native peoples defending their homeland from imperialists.

We should blame the sufferings of war solely on the imperialist invaders. In this case, that means Russia.

That is what i meant yes. Last i checked Zelinsky isn't hoping to one day rule the continent/world as an emperor.
There defending, its Putin that is on a conquest to expand an empire. The blood of both sides is on his hands.

It is my feeling that russia will collapse itself trying to win
precisely because Ukraine receives intel and support right now, doing things much more efficiently then Russia mismanagement ever could.

I could be wrong but my expectation is that in 4 years Putin wont even be in charge anymore.

These planes are like the stereotypical cavalerie. Effective war machine? Yes. But always comes to late when the battle is over.

mholiv ,

Fair. You should change Emperors to Emperor then. That way it looks less “both sides”y.

It's conceivable that it could, and so it makes some sense to prepare. Even assuming it's over by then though, it still makes some sense to prop up Ukraine both militarily and economically for some time after, because seeing as the war has been mostly fought on their territory, it will be a long struggle to rebuild, during which time it may be difficult for them to afford to replace military stockpiles on their own as they'll need everything they can for rebuilding. But if their military is not also replenished, then they'd be at risk if Russia tries this again a few years later.

How much people need to die for the powergames of wannabe emperors?’

We'll find out that number when Putin finally pulls out or is killed by his senior staff like Stalin before him.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has insisted Ukraine urgently needs seven more Patriot air defense systems to stop Russia from hitting more civilian targets.

Last week, Bloomberg reported Biden would likely miss the peace summit, scheduled for June 15 and 16,  as it clashes with a US presidential campaign fundraiser he is set to attend.

The EU's foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, has called on countries to weigh their concerns about escalating tensions with Russia against Ukraine's right to self-defense.

The calls came after NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said Monday that "the time had come" for allies to reconsider their restrictions, especially as Russia is pounding the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv from its own territory.

"For the first time, such an agreement specifies the exact number of F-16 fighter jets — 30 — that will be delivered to Ukraine until 2028," Zelenskyy wrote after signing the accord with Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo.

Zelenskyy sees the planes' delivery as key in stopping Russia from hitting the power grid and civilian areas, as well as other military targets in Ukraine.
