The free market only gives insurance to 'the people' in the danger prone communities only when profit margins are big enough for the companies liking.

Damned be, the people that grew up and live their...

Co-ops and other community-first based company would be a great replacement form the profit hungry and greedy companies.

I was driving from Dallas to Austin in the middle of the night last Wednesday and went through a very strong thunderstorm with hail. Like close to zero visibility on the road. When we stopped at a Bucee’s afterwards, that’s when I heard there was a tornado in the general area and we probably were close to it.

For sure! I’ve never experienced storms as violent before moving here, so it definitely was scary. I didn’t even realize there was a chance of a tornado nearby, and was only thinking of the hail wrecking havoc on my car. I definitely never want to go through that again.

Have you gotten some apks/apps and turned on sms/notifications that can inform you of weather alerts around you?

I had to sign up manally so that I can get alerts from my local agencies that handle weather and other events that I may prefer to know about, hahaha

Seems to be correct, I would guess they went in for shelter.

Found article about the 150 number:

A tornado caused significant damage in Valley View, Texas, flipping multiple semis on I-35 and severely damaging unoccupied cars.

The storm brought baseball-sized hail to the area, adding to the chaos.

Tornados and storms have wreaked havoc across the heartland over the past few weeks.
