Welcome to the 24 hour pledge! I’m pledging myself to not drinking today, and invite you to do the same.

Maybe you’re new to c/stopdrinking and have a hard time deciding what to do next. Maybe you’re like me and feel you need a daily commitment or maybe you’ve been sober for a long time and want to inspire others.

It doesn’t matter if you’re still hung over from a three day bender or been sober for years, if you just woke up or have already completed a sober day. For the next 24 hours, let’s not drink alcohol!

I finally deleted all my reddit posts and comments and my account yesterday, after the news about the AI training deal. But I'm keeping "sobernauts".

I left the day before the big 3rd. party walkout. I was still drinking pretty heavily every night at the time, so never checked out that thread. But, I'm with ya on keeping sobernauts. I only ever used RedReader on there, and even though they got a pass somehow, I just couldn't stick with em treating their creators that way. Reddit was getting pretty fuckin toxic overall, in all but the smallest communities. Don't miss it at all.

Made it to day 12! Had a really good day yesterday. Some stressful things on the plate this Sunday morning, but I'm gonna tackle it sharp and sober. I'm not drinking today.

Good on ya! I always get a bit nervous about stressful situations and not being able to drink since that’s how I “dealt” with them for the past 5 years or so, but it’s gotten easier.

We actually had a dinner with some friends and new people we hadnt met last night and they were making drinks and I asked them to make ours virgin. Was worried about what they would say and how it would go me being sober meeting new people, but they were super cool and supportive and everything went great. Keep it up and good luck with what you got going. I will not drink with you today.

Thanks, man. I got it. First time sober bowling, first time meeting My Girl's kid, and her ex.. Really good to go, so far. Having a damn smoke break outside and then back to the arcade. Man, I'm a much better fuckin dude sober.. I'm not drinking with ya today.

Really good to hear it went well with new people, I'm literally in that boat floating around right now!
