Somehow, you get it done on time and realize you were stressing about nothing. You proceed to do the exact same thing the next week. It’s a vicious cycle.
Real answer? One explanation I have is we have our bread and circus - just enough to not rise up. Another is that people are too overworked and poor to rise up. I think both are true, and there are many other factors.
