Not to shit on everyone's parade, but Russia is advancing and has been for the last year. At horrendous and by western standard unacceptable losses for sure, but they don't care about such notions. And as long as they can get 'leaders' like Le Pen or Trump elected they will succeed and take whatever they had gained.
We could have made a decisive victory. We chose not to over unwarranted fears and corruption, which makes it all the more infuriating.
I would have argued against you a week ago, but since the debate between Biden and Trump one can only hope the democrats come to their senses and withdraw Biden as a candidate (if it isn't too late, I don't know a lot about US politics). If Trump manages to get elected again, he'll help Putin win this war and take credit for ending it.
