As others have said, it's fine, as long as you're not using it to ban evade or otherwise break instance or community rules.
Also, come to think of it, even if it were okay, would it even be possible to have to be logged into two separate accounts on the same instance at the same time with the same browser profile? :/
Yep. But you need to use an alternative front end or a 3rd party app for that. If you try alx.lemmy.blahaj.zone for example, that's our Alexandrite front end, and you can have two or more accounts signed in with Alexandrite
You’re not using an account on Blahaj so not much of what you’re asking matters as you’re not affected. Your reports would go to your admin and whoever’s instance the posts are on.
Some reason you may still be able to see posts could be due to you using mbin. Not sure if mod reports and removals have been fixed to federate correctly honestly.
I was worried about this too! Lemmy isn't that large for a social media site - does this mean Lemmy will scale poorly if it gets larger? Is it disingenuous to pretend self-hosting is a good idea as a the fediverse grows? Doesn't seem feasible unless you've got a CS degree.
Hope the developers have some tricks up their sleeves. That reddthat post seems... troubling?
I'm out of my depth though, I'm not a programmer (unless you count some ugly scripting in R).
All it means is that lemmy needs to implement the ability to process queues in parallel instead of serial, so that one message doesn't hold up the next
