Teaching about slavery in schools and doing it well isn’t just about teaching the harshness of slavery. And educators can make #Juneteenth about so much more than the end of slavery.
@TheConversationUS@histodons I agree the curriculum needs to be updated, but are many schools even in session still? (At least in places not like Utah with it’s awful “year-round” system.)
