This really brings home the point that every society has its responses to embarrassing falls, and they usually consist of:

  1. Fall
  2. Quickly get back up
  3. Look around to see if anybody saw

This has been debunked. I know it seems like a sweet thought, but if we're gonna progress in our understanding of other species and how we can live in harmony with them then the truth is important, and we shouldn't spread misinformation even if it's a pleasant falsehood
