Inb4 someone gaslights me about the traffic that I sit in every single day because the mayor decided to close down 2/3 of all lanes because some policy “wonk” decided that it’s better to punish people rather than do something to address the traffic problem.
Inb4 someone pipes in with, “well actually, statistics say that there’s less traffic than there was before, sweaty.”
If they could get the damn trains running as fast and easy as NYC... it would be wicked awesome. Considering that Boston has had subway a little longer than NYC and it's certainly smaller, I can't believe how much better NYC runs.
Example: patient was calm and talking to EMS. Once PD entered the scene, standard procedure, patient becomes very agitated and begins to refuse transport. IMO: PD should've stayed out of sight, but, prepared.
More than 30 years on the road I've always said that cops shouldn't be "first in" to secure the scene. EMS and/or trained mental health professionals should try to manage.
Obviously, occasionally the patient has a weapon. Yet, I'd also like to see a plain clothes officer first. A patient certainly will react to a couple cops in uniform.
Different bridges over Storrow are slightly different heights. One time I rented a UHaul, got on under a bar that I cleared and went under one bridge, and then had to make a hasty last second exit before the next bridge which was lower.
Oh wow, the herald version has an even more biased headline. I searched the author and the article didn't come up. Still doesn't. Thanks for the sleuthing. I am still suspicious that this article got posted on a police issues website so quickly, but I am also not invested enough to take this conspiracy theory further.
I found it by searching "BPD" which is a coming acronym on the mirror article. It was actually my first try, almost missed it because of the dramatically different titles.
