@bookstodon My #review of The Apothecary Diaries Vol. 2 #lightnovel by Natsu Hyuuga, Kevin Steinbach (trans.) and Touko Shino (illust.) is now live! This was enjoyable as the first volume, not least because the setting and mysteries expand.
@kamreadsandrecs@bookstodon this is one of my favorites too. The historic setting, the mysteries and the whole cast of characters makes it fun to re-read. I have so many scenes in every volume that I look forward to read again.
@YasminGalaxygir@bookstodon It’s truly a delight! I’m actually spacing out the volumes so I have something lighter to read between weightier books, and I’m glad this series entered my sphere of awareness.
@kamreadsandrecs@bookstodon This is my favourite light novel series, just finished volume 10 yesterday! I love how things shift around and change as the series progresses but Maomao never stops being an absolute gem of a character.
@kamreadsandrecs@olliethewobbly@bookstodon@brenticus this frog is a very solitary animal, a bit famished despite the number of insects in volume 10 & 11. If I remember we'll it is introduced near the end of volume 3 (12 of the manga).
