@BigAngBlack @blackmastodon @BlackMastodon Dear friends, please call your Reps in the Federal Lege and ask THEM to do this. The President does not initiate legislation, the Legislature does. Surely people like Reps. Ocasio-Cortz, Tlaib, Omar, Jayapal, Khanna, Bowman, Frost, et al, would be only too delighted to join with their Senators in creating this legislation?

California is working on reparations. I so want Barbara Lee in the Senate to give some guidance to people.

Elizabeth Warren was supposedly working with Pramila Jayapal on legislation to help students with debt. How's that coming, I wonder?

It's not coming. Warren isn't part of the same Bernie faction that Jayapal is in, but they're both far-left populists and therefore utterly fucking worthless.
