Whoops apocalypse British sitcom 1982

The show takes place a few weeks before the said apocalypse following the unstable global situation.
President Johnny Cyclops and his security advisor The Deacon who has a claimed hotline to god control the US.The US make a nuclear bomb called the Quark bomb which is smuggled to Iran.

The Soviet Premier Dubienkin is actually a set of several clones who die and are replaced many times.

The deposed Shah of Iran is led by his advisor Abdab (who wears a blindfold to avoid gazing upon the Shan’s magnificence) they spend the show looking for refuge but spend most of the time in a cross channel ferry’s toilet.

The British lead by Minister Kevin pork who has gone insane believing himself to be Superman joins the Warsaw pact. Other officials are drove insane as well and believe they are Green Lantern and Hawkman. They are later locked in a padded cell in 10 Downing St.

During the end of the show the Quark bomb goes off in Israel destroying it and most of the US army.
The Shah is taking refuge on a spacecraft which he manages to crash into the Kremlin which the USSR takes as an attack from the US and launch nukes. The US presumably fires back as the show shows the aftermath earth being a wasteland with few survivors. The final shots reveal the woman in the intro is the First Lady of the US as she emerges from a nuclear bunker.
