When I ended up being a union rep it helped a bit as had to ask/say always stuff for others’ benefit, not “just for me”, but it never got easy, because of NT rules like you say.
Since trying to unmask more recently, it’s been about that shame and mis-judgement about just being factual and honest. Like Helen said, it’s on them, not us.
