I truly believe that if we were more culturally aware of the diversity of gender norms throughout history, modern people would be more accepting of trans identities. It's no surprise that BBQ Dads think their kids are just going through a fad. Most people haven't heard of this stuff from the past few centuries beyond fringe caricatures or post-21st century.
Also the high point of my interest in Star Wars in general. I lost all interest when they deleted the canon and then went full coward-mode with the sequels' story. There were so many better stories to tell then the same shit all over again
Honestly, I always thought Star Wars would work as a Tales From the Crypt-style anthology, just pump out interesting happenings from across the galaxy as self-contained, 40-minute long episodes and put the meat on them massive bones! I bet one could pull off at least 3-4 12-episode series without even touching The Force.
Dayum trans ppl must rlly start worshipping Inanna now. Like she gets impressed by ur devotion, snaps her fingers n pop- u r now ur preferred gender! This, versus years of expensive HRT, surgeries (in case of some ppl) n all that.
Political apathy is a clear sign of unknown, unappreciated and unused privilege. Screw conservatives but at least they know the value of being able to vote and thus try to uphold this privilege by taking part in a society that allows them to take part in that way.
Join city council meetings and tell your city to adopt Ranked Choice Voting. This is often do e through city charter amendment. Find your local RCV group and support them. Educate people about RCV what RCV is and what it is not. Keep it non-partisan. You don’t have to vote for somebody you don’t want to. That is also engaging in politics whether you like it or not.
