I don't donate to any party, but Trump accepting crypto immediately makes it look like a scam. I don't think it really changes how people see the US dollar, it just makes Trump seem desperate. Why else would a man so devoted to enforcing backwards 1950s values suddenly become accepting of something like crypto?
I think Donald started to talk about crypto after talking to Vivek. Anyway, I don't understand the reasoning "Donald takes crypto" -> crypto scam, but "Donald takes USD" -> usd not scam. I mean, "crypto" is a scam, I agree as a bitcoiner, but for other reasons.
Because literally everyone in the US accepts the dollar? Trump wouldn't risk using something he definitely doesn't understand, such as crypto, unless someone convinced him it was a new way to bilk people out of their money. If Vivek Ramaswamy convinced him to use it then they are definitely trying to do something underhanded with crypto
When wikileaks started to accept bitcoin donations in 2011 it wasn't to scam or to do something underhanded, it was because the people in power tried to kick them out of the financial system. Donald doesn't have that problem, but he doesn't have to "understand" "crypto" either, he can hire people to handle that.
