I like old thing.
<3 C, Unix, shell scripting, old electronics, emacs, and old cute cars.
(Currently seeking a job!)
Current obsessions include Bubblegum Crisis & the NEC PC-9801.
I draw pixel art of varying quality. Message to commission.

Semi-closeted, trans woman or nonbinary or something. Slowly working my way through it. I act rather feminine, in any case, and I'd like to look/feel that way. On HRT as of May 17 2024!

I want to be genuine and connect with others empathetically, bidirectionally; we need more of that and to assume good faith more easily.

Vetting follows, but just don't be suspicious or my employer & there's not much to worry about. :p

LMK if I should CW something or act differently, I want to be accommodating & friendly but I don't always know what upsets everyone…

Donations would mean the world to me, if you can help. Or job offers. https://ko-fi.com/wyatt8740

Ban datacenter "AI"
Put it in the hands of individual users with slower computers and let them decide if it's worth it on their energy bills

BTW if you spend upwards of $50 on a used cast iron skillet, it'd better have belonged to Napoleon or something because otherwise you're doing it wrong.

Any skillet can become fantastic.

@vestige it's fine to, but... part of the experience should be watching your own grow, not just buying someone else's
(IMO)
There is nothing about that 1800's cast iron that your $20 pan cannot achieve with some work.

Save me from "not all men." Yes, including—but by no means exclusively or even primarily—from trans men. Just done with it. Find a better argument.

Then go look up the word "metonymy" and understand how it applies in this circumstance.

@hrefna As someone who used to say those kinds of things, I really meant well.

I really felt like I didn't want to be lumped with them. Guess I don't have to worry about that much longer now, but I still think the statement can be said without it being super defensive... just an attempt to reconcile.

It was usually in response to someone saying something like "I hate/don't like/don't trust men because they do <x>," so I really think it is a fair response in those situations. People have one or two bad experiences and it's easy to typecast everyone else.
