Firefox Browser Blocks Anti-Censorship Add-Ons at Russia’s Request

https://theintercept.com/2024/06/12/mozilla-firefox-russia-censorship-blocked/

Enshittification of Mozilla? They have been setting wrong priorities for quite some time, but this is something else.

As a Mozilla fan, I'm very disappointed.

"The Mozilla Foundation works to ensure the internet remains a public resource that is open and accessible to us all." - they say. https://foundation.mozilla.org/en/

It's not what they actually do 😡

I'd like to remind all Mastodon users that you can add a language filter to any follow relationship on Mastodon.

If you follow me and you don't speak German, you can easily remove my German posts from your timeline by adjusting the language settings.

Go to my profile page, select the dot menu and click "Change subscribed languages". Then select the languages that you speak.

This really is a hidden gem 💎 on Mastodon and not many people seem to know this feature :awesome:

In the pop up dialog, select all languages that you want to subscribe to.

Started to write a blog post about metalhead.club t-shirts and quickly realized that I don't have the energy to find proper words right now 😅.

My plan is to describe what considerations I made and which parts I use for my t-shirt "business". So others feel inspired and might sell instance merch, too! 😁

I think t-shirts are a great advertising space for Fediverse instances. 👌

metalhead.club will place commercial advertising in Wacken!

Have I lost my mind? Maybe. metalhead.club will probably be the first Fediverse instance to place advertising in "real life"! I'm super excited about this experiment 🤘

I think Metalhead.club has helped me reunite with the concept of album again, something that has been lacking for me since the 90s really. This applies across the board to any genre thankfully. Song titles are hard for me because the concept of album is a headspace like being drunk is different from being sober or depressed is different from mental balance. In the headspace, I remember and experience constituent parts or lines/webs of thought easily. As I have mentioned, album art helps.

@wendigo I used to listen to music semi-randomly and didn't really care about albums as a coherent artefact in my youth, but I think metalhead.club made me think differently about that, too! :)

It's not true for all albums, but some albums need to be listened to as a whole album, esp progressive metal 🤘
