I’ve flown on AA’s international business and first class. The difference is negligible in terms of the seats and most people in them were complimentary upgrades since they couldn’t fill the seats.

The bigger differences were on the ground with the dining and check in. So all AA is doing is creating a “Business Plus” category that gets you the first class amenities on the ground and then a business class seat. This lets them put more business class seats on the plane and open things up to a bigger revenue stream.

Flip it around. If you missed an appointment, would you want them pissed off you wasted their time? Would you want them to yell at you? Most likely you would have had a good reason and would want them to understand. It’s most likely the same for them.

So you’ve had the game for 3 years and you’ve now payed more than the retail price. Are you going to keep paying for it, or do you expect it to be “yours”. Also, as with most things digital, let’s say you invest a hundred hours, almost get to the end and…. They decide to yank the game from their service. No ending for you. Thoughts on that? Both are very real scenarios by “renting” the game.

Windows isn’t going to die as long as those features aren’t in the enterprise. The Outlook version they discuss is the one bundled with Windows 11 which enterprises don’t use since they use the one that comes with their E3 license and part of Office 365. And all the “telemetry” bloat is disabled in Windows 11 Enterprise. And enterprises are where they make the most money. So as long as “I use it at work and it’s what I know” prevails, then they won’t lose a large market share. (Not to mention Linix is still too complicated for 99% of users too)

I know people here in South Texas who work in “Title 1” schools that are predominantly minority and the kids just flat out disappeared. Some were working jobs to support their families, others moved to Mexico or near there, and others they can’t find the family anymore, so most likely the whole family moved somewhere else.
