I'm interested in things (computers, mostly. Old computers, handheld computers, personal computers, minicomputers, etc). Sometimes I also like manga, Pokemon, Vocaloid, or other things.

I like programming as a hobby. Mainly in C and Python but I try to branch out sometimes if appropriate. I also like sensors and automation. Check my media tab for more!

I am 30 or 40 years old. 🦝

If this factory ever produces a shell that can actually be fired, I'll be very unhappy.

    Bats fly by grabbing the air in their their sensitive webbed fingers, feeling little eddies of air, they adjust instantaneously deftly, teasing their way through air currents.

    I'm certain birds have a similar sense of the air, but there is something more relatable and easier to imagine about being the bat, using great webbed hands to surf & climb air columns.

    We haven't even gotten to the part about the radar yet!

    If I could spend a day as a creature it'd be an ant, but 2nd choice is a bat.

    I'm calling it now: he won't select a VP. He's too paranoid, self-centered, and stubborn to imagine "what would we do if you couldn't be president" just as he can't admit that he lost, he can't admit that it might not be him.

    And the republicans will put up with it too.

    @futurebird I'm usually the one who comes up with ultra-cynical contrarian takes, but I haven't considered this. I like it. It's not impossible, and if I've learned one thing about this guy, it's "always bet on vanity."

    I want to make a series of videos with titles like:

    etc.

    and only talk about invertebrates.

    It looks like my queenless colony has fattened up some of this generation enough to produce alates. If there are male and female alates maybe there is a chance to found a new colony? (unlikely, simulated nuptial flights are complex) I’m still so amazed and proud of these relentless girls!

    @futurebird At the end of the day, whether it's climate change or political strife in the near-er-ish term (hundreds of years) or the heat death of the universe in the long-term (billions of years), we're all living in a queenless colony, aren't we? Everything will 100% be destroyed at some point.

    At least they have the moral advantage of not constantly bringing in more larvae to suffer through the climate resource wars. 😌

    One of the downsides to connecting your nests using long tubes is "ant loitering" some ants like to just hang out in the tubes because they retain a little moisture and it's near everything. This will cause the tubes to get dirty and less attractive... hence my new invention of a "mid tube fan"

    Alex Jones was born in 1974... He's... so much younger than I thought! I thought he was two decades older than me but it's less than one.

    Some things age you, I suppose.

    (ETA: a photo... he's not just "gen X" he's a late gen Xer. borderline Millennial. )

    (ETA 2: He made a lot of his fortune, which he isn't paying out to the victims of his attacks... selling HEALTH PILLS. They obviously don't work!)

    @futurebird I remember seeing video of him when he was younger and it wasn't that long ago... relatively speaking. I feel like he probably lives a very unhealthy lifestyle (despite all the brain pills).

    Three years with him gone from my hometown isn't long enough! I wanted it to be infinite!

    But maybe he will go to prison before the three years are up... and then maybe we won't ever see him again. That would be so nice.
