So Papa John’s is advertising XLNY #pizza and since D’Addario makes NYXL #guitar strings all I can think is:

  • Those are worse on pizza than pineapple, and

  • some genius market researcher probably told Papa John’s there wouldn’t be any confusion because musicians can’t afford pizza.

It’s not that expensive to have your own labels made to replace those in your clothes so you have your own secret bespoke brand.

(it’s a remarkable how much this simple detail makes me happy.)

A benefit of giving my Camponotus nicobarensis colony a room with dirt to play in has been finding out that they will quickly bury large food items. I gave them a huge dubia this morning... which normally would keep them busy for about two days, in an hour it disappeared it into the ground.

I'm glad I can feed them in a space with a hard surface too... since if they bury food it will be hard to know when they have eaten it all. (which can make the tank too dirty)

Still I'm amazed!

May I ask a probably-dumb question: what is a dubia? I'm guessing it might be a cockroach of some sort but I really have no idea what one feeds ants.
