31 March 1914 | Grisha Prishkulnik (George Preston) was born in Równe (today Rivne, Ukraine).

A Jew, an engineer educated in France. Arrested by Gestapo in Lille, he survived Auschwitz (no 160581) - Bobrek sub-camp. He emigrated to the USA. He passed away in 2006.

9 February 1923 | A Polish Jewish woman, Chawa Rosenfarb, was born in Łódź. A writer creating in Yiddish.

Deported from Litzmannstadt ghetto to Auschwitz in August 1944. Liberated in Bergen-Belsen. From 1950 she lived in Canada. She passed away in 2011.

In Auschwitz from 8 July 1942.

He perished in the camp on 22 August 1942.

In Auschwitz life of people with disabilities had no value.

However their prosthetics were robbed and became source of income for the camp. Some were discovered after the liberation.

Today they became a warning.
