@BeAware Gunther winning feels like the obvious choice.

I felt it since he was the first to announce he'll be KOTR.

Just like i KNEW Seth Rollins would win the new heavyweight title when they released it.

I hate it when WWE announces a tournament through the voice of the one who's gonna win it in the end.

OK there ALWAYS is a small doubt that they won't do the obvious things, but... well they did last year at NoC and i really feel like they're doing it again this year.

And the worst is that, if they don't and crown Randy instead for instance, i'm pretty sure i would be angry that they value a veteran more than a newer wrestler once again^^ i mean yeah Randy's really cool ane have done A LOT for the company but he doesn't NEED a title to be on top.

The question, though, is does he deserve the crown? Can he make it shine brighter than it has?

If you don't like Fediverse, why are you here? Serious question.

None of the things you want are going to be implemented in a way that is good for the platform, so just go back to Twitter and leave Fedi alone.

We don't need block replies, algorithm, centralized moderation, etc.

Those are all features that are obviously used in bad faith and ruin the platform. I kinda like Fedi and don't want it to be ruined by influencers and misinformation.

@BeAware OK there was a travelling to the ring where Candice and Indi were.
And another for Roxanne's entrance. But there were less smooth than the ones we had those past weeks when following superstars from backtage to ringside.

@BeAware i liked the travelling all around the ring for Zayn.

But yea overall i felt the shots are less "controlled" as they were when they first started trying new things. Weird that they don't have steadycams if you ask me...

(If those are steadycams, guess the cameramen were REALLY shaking^^)

If you really think about it, it's kinda funny that 7 months have passed since CM Punk got fired from AEW and he's still the most interesting guy within the company.

Now, you're saying he's "not in the company". But that's the point, he doesn't work there, yet they're still talking about him and will even be putting him on their weekly show tomorrow....just think about that.🤣🤣

WWE also brought in a mirrorless camera — Sony’s A7S III in this case — for certain shots to capture a shallow depth of field for select entrances and in-ring introductions. It was different enough visually from the other cameras to be noticeable but not over the top.

THAT'S WHY some in-ring introductions shots looked almost like ultra realistic video games cutscenes, i don't know, there was a visual touch, like a smoothing effect and like the framerate was higher

@BeAware @Siestacorta i recently learnt it was indeed a name still in use in England for instance (hence the New Catch Republic for instance)

I still don't really know how you make a difference between wrestling - the Olympic sport and wrestling - the sport entertainment business^^

I know we often talk about pro-wrestling (for the entertainment), but does that mean that wrestlers (the olympic sport ones) can't practice this sport professionally ?

@BeAware yeah i'm a bit harsh with them because i was expecting a great match. At least at the level of Rhea/Flair last year. I know they can both do better. It ended up being a lukewarm opener.

I should have expected less, since the build up wasn't that tremendous either 😟

@BeAware honestly, 5 good matches on 7. And the two that disappointed me weren't that bad just not as good as they could.

Well the Uso vs Uso was kinda useless... except the part where Jimmy says sorry. I think i would have liked better if they actually burried the hatchett even though it would have been too soon for that on a storytelling level.

And yes, the ladder match was really really cool even though WWE shouldn't have made THAT obvious that the titles were going to be splitted. Also A Town Down-Under won their belt a bit too early in the match.

@BeAware they gave everything they could with the long clip before the match but they didn't really deliver even though the idea of each brother doing the same move was funny for a little while. They work better as a team. Make them a team again!

@BeAware Cody's match at WM39 was epic. And Roman's victory was stolen.

Jey vs Jimmy was a clean victory after a meh match.

But yeah, WWE could manage to make potential rounds 2 and 3 more interesting, they're pretty good when they want
