Something rarely mentioned in the discussion of inevitable forthcoming environmental & socioeconomic collapse is how millions of people (like myself) will lose their lives due to disruptions in the supply chain for essential medications.

I asked my doctor last month if there is a safe way to wean myself off of them if I, for whatever reason, could no longer access my meds. He flat out said "no."

Slowly getting my affairs in order.

Didn't expect one of my closest friends to tell me he thinks the late-diagnosing of autism thing is pure crap. How do I bounce back from this invalidation? Do I even need to defend myself here? How would you react? I haven't responded yet. Funny how you'd think someone would be understanding but they aren't.

@pathfinder @alice Thank you. I didn't get a formal paper but a friend in the industry gave me an informal evaluation. I'm not sure I want an official diagnosis, as in some countries it can close more doors than it can open.

Mountain fern moss and redwood sorrel on the Hall of Mosses trail at the Hoh Rainforest

A very slender young tree sapling covered in the same light green feathers moss. The sun is behind, making the sapling itself dark but the moss bright, and in the background we also see the sun highlighting some other mosses with sprigs of redwood sorrel growing amongst them. The sorrel is out of focus but catches the eye because of the brilliant green.

@dillyd No worries! And yes, thanks! Went through some health stuff and came out the other side. Doing much better. I originally disappeared due to too many tech issues with my instance & mastodon client, and decided to just take a break. Quite a struggle to find the right combination of tribe & app, know what I mean? 😅 All is well, though. Your photos are glorious as ever! 🥰
