This is an intentionally created space for people who want to be together with others and grieve, but for one reason or another can’t engage with direct actions, marches, etc.

"Muddy Thinking in the Mississippi River Delta uses the story of mud to answer a deceptively simple question: How can a place uniquely vulnerable to sea level rise be one of the nation’s most promiscuous producers and consumers of fossil fuels?"
From 60s R&B funk to sludge metal in the mid-2010s, a couple of 45s from classic New Orleans bands, The Meters and Eyehategod. Picked up at local NOLA recod shop, Sisters In Christ, along with a fun tote.
Please share with any artists, musicians, writers, or other creatives:
Would you consider signing this letter supporting the Tulane students calling for an end to the genocide as a local musician/artist/creative and share with others? Thank you.

Hi, my name is _ and I am a resident of New Orleans. I demand the immediate release of [name of protestors] arrested today at Tulane's campus. These courageous individuals were exercising their right to protest against the unlawful murder of Palestinians. Release them now!!
If you are local, there are requests to have people head to Gibson Hall to support and protect the encampment, and for a lower commitment but big impact request, please pass or drive by and shout and honk your support!! Show your appreciation for these people putting themselves on the line to protest ongoing genocide! 🎉🎉🎉✊🏼🔥
UPDATES: About 14 arrested sitting down in a line in front of the Tulane encampment at Gibson Hall early this am. There were no unintentional arrests. A few minor injuries. The scene had military police with ak47s and tanks and hundreds of lsp, tupd, and nopd.
A media liaison was able to get a student organizer on all 4 news channels before the police chief and Tulane admin told their version of it all to shape the narrative of reality and put the demands out.
This is a student led and peaceful protest. Support your local #StudentSpring, and don't let these institutions get you down and intimidate you with their rhetoric and tactics. More info to come.
If you are a Tulane faculty, staff, or alumni and you would like to sign in support of the demands put forth at the All Out for Palestine rally held on 4/29, please read and sign the form below. If you are not affiliated with Tulane but know folks that are, please pass this on.
Tulane SDS insta reel of Palestinian supporters being pushed violently down the street on the neutral grounds. #Louisiana state police have guns and hundreds of officers to throw at people exercising their rights.
From the Escalate Network "anti-genocide protesters have taken over Jackson Square in New Orleans. Tents have been put up. This is the first non-university Gaza solidarity encampment, to our knowledge." #NOLA#NewOrleans#Palestine
"The state where a sheriff said, 'In addition to the bad ones ... they’re releasing some good ones that we use every day to wash cars, to change oil in the cars, to cook in the kitchen, to do all that where we save money,' he continued. 'Well, they’re going to let them out ― the ones that we use in work release programs.' "
